The Jolly Oyster is a food truck/farm stand hybrid located inside Ventura’s San Buenaventura State Beach park. It sells fresh Kumamoto and Pacific oysters and Manila clams that are farmed by its owners in protected bays in Baja California. Oyster-shucking demos and free samples are available, but actual food prep is up to you; bring an oyster knife, or purchase one there for $5. Picnic tables and barbecue grills are on site. Cook your own; BYOB (alcohol is permitted in the park). Just stopping by to pick up some shellfish to take home? Use one of the free, 20-minute parking spaces.
