A chrome-plated oasis in Solvang’s Denmarket Square—also home to a replica of Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid statue—Chomp is a modern take on the 1950s soda fountain: It serves milkshakes and craft beer from Buellton’s Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. Beef, veggie, and ground-pork burgers come on butter-brushed buns. Regular and sweet potato fries and onion rings are à la carte. Chomp’s family-friendly setting includes a waiting area furnished with a chalkboard wall for doodling.
