The atmosphere could not be cozier at this bistro-style eatery located in a 1930s-era house. The main dining room features a brick fireplace, dark wood floors, butter-yellow walls, and banquettes softened by down pillows. Chef and owner Deborah Scarborough lets her locavore flag fly on the dinner-only menu, which changes with the seasons and lists purveyors by name (appetizers include Cayucos Ocean Rose abalone with a grapefruit and vanilla bean beurre blanc). Each dish has suggested pairings from the impressive beer and wine lists. Vegan entrées are available with two days’ notice.
